Trois-Rivières, March 29, 2016 – The FestiVoix de Trois-Rivières is proud to announce today the programming of the Bell Fibe des Voix Multiples stage. Once again this year, thanks to the exceptional generosity of the Ursuline Sisters, the Multiple Voices shows will be held in the backyard of the Monastery of the Ursulines of Trois-Rivières, which is transformed during the festival into a magnificent Italian-style theatre surrounded by century-old trees. The FestiVoix de Trois-Rivières is also proud to announce the addition of 800 additional seats to respond to the popularity of this stage without altering the quality of listening and the intimate nature of the concerts presented there.
Unveiling of the Bell Fibe Multi-Voice StageOnce again this year, FestiVoix is partnering with Bell Fibe to present a rich and varied program.
The poetic work of the original Trifluvian Gérald Godin was set to music by songwriter Steve Veilleux. The leader of the Kaïn group will perform the songs from his second solo album T’en souviens-tu encore, Godin ? on which he set the Cantouques du grand homme politique to music on Friday, June 24, to open the festival. Then, the vocal group QW4RTZ will take over the Bell Fibe Multi-Voice stage on Sunday, June 26. The four singers perform vocal pirouettes in a unique a capella style that is a bit crazy to make the audience laugh, move, sing and dance. A true monument of French-language song in Quebec, Diane Tell, whom we saw this winter on La Voix as a mentor for the Pierre Lapointe team, will be back on stage on Wednesday, June 29. A musician of immense talent, she will revisit her greatest hits such as: Si j’étais un homme, Gilberto or La légende de Jimmy in addition to sharing her most recent compositions with festivalgoers. Patrick Norman is a leading country and folk singer, celebrating more than 45 years of artistic career. Meet Patrick Norman on stage on Thursday June 30th as we warmly welcome back a lifelong friend. It will be accompanied by the Petits Chanteurs de Trois-Rivières and 11 musicians that the musical pride of Mauricie Bears of Legend will offer its concert on Friday, July 1, in the intimate setting of the backyard of the Monastère des Ursulines. Then, Ingrid St-Pierre’s piano will resonate with the sound of her brand new melodies from her most recent album called Tokyo. Her crystal-clear voice will be brought to the forefront through her poetry knitted with delicacy and emotion on Saturday, July 2.
All these artists are in addition to the program already unveiled last February where the FestiVoix confirmed the concerts of: Isabelle Boulay on Saturday June 25, the 2 Brothers on Tuesday June 28 and Tire le coyote to close the programming of the Bell Fibe des Voix Multiples stage on Sunday July 3.
