
Director of the Board of TRPA since September 2014, Ms. Danielle St-Amand is the first woman to assume the Board Presidency. Ms. St-Amand holds a Master’s degree in social communication and she is presently Director of the Institutional Development and Publics Affairs Department at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières.
Previously, she was Member of Parliament, representative of Trois-Rivières for six years in the National Assembly of Quebec. In addition, she was President and Chief Executive Officer of the Fondation du Centre hospitalier régional de Trois-Rivières. She has also held the position of Executive Director of the Saint-Tite Western Festival and of the Association touristique régionale de la Mauricie. She has been actively involved in her community and served on several boards of socio-economic organizations.
Born in Shawinigan, he holds a B.A. in administration des affaires (Business Administration) from the UQTR. Luc Arvisais is in charge of economic development for the City of Shawinigan. Previously, he was General Manager and Industrial Commissioner at the Shawinigan CLD. Before working for the City and the Shawinigan CLD, he was General Manager of the Festival Western de Saint-Tite from 2004 to 2007, General Manager of the Fonds régional de solidarité FTQ Mauricie Centre-du-Québec from 2001 to 2004, General Manager and Industrial Commissioner at the CLD du Centre-de-la-Mauricie from 1994 to 2001 and Director of Provincial Activities and Communications at the Groupement des chefs d’entreprises du Québec from 1989 to 1994. He was also a lecturer at the UQTR in the department of culture, loisirs et tourisme (Culture, Recreation and Tourism) from 2006 to 2011.
Holding a Degree in education and Business administration from the Université Laval and a certificate from the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés, Nicole Diamond Gélinas is co-founder of the companies Aspasie Inc. and Plastifil Inc., exporting manufacturing firms specialized in development of the image of its customers, doing business with large companies such as L'Oreal, P & G and many others.
Very involved socially, she contributed significantly to the economic and cultural development of the region. She was Chairman of the Board of La Société industrielle et portuaire de Bécancour for 5 years and member of the Board of the CRIQ (Centre de recherche industrielle du Québec) in Montreal, as well as the Chambre de Commerce et d’industries de Trois-Rivières. She was also a member of the Board of Directors of laBanque Nationale du Canada from 1998 to 2012.
Actually, she is a member of the Board of Directors of SAQ (Société des alcools du Québec). She also serves as governor of the Fondation régionale pour la santé de Trois-Rivières.
She has received numerous mentions including, among others, the prestigious "Radisson" of the year from la Chambre de commerce et d’industries de Trois-Rivières, « Women's Personality of the Year » from the Chambre de commerce du comté de Maskinongé and "Tête d’affiche" from the Nouvelliste, regional newspaper.
Mr. Michel Morin holds a Bachelor of Education in Special Education and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration. During his 33-year career in education, he successively held the positions of teacher, principal, director of administrative services and director general, a position he held from 2003 to 2011 at the Commission scolaire du-Chemin-du-Roy. During his career, Mr. Morin served on several boards and has also served as local councillor.
Mr. Ducharme earned a degree in mechanical engineering from Laval University and a Master's degree in project management from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. He is a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec. He has worked mainly in the chemical and explosives sector for the Olin Company (formerly CIL – ICI - Pioneer) since 1981. During his career, Mr. Ducharme has, among other things, held the positions of resident engineer in England, production Manager (explosives division of the McMasterville plant) and Director of engineering (Bécancour plant). Manager of the Bécancour plant. Presently Regional Canadian Manager for Olin Canada ULC. Member of the Board of directors of the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada (CIAC) from 2009 to date. In 2001-2002 and from 2014 to 2017, he was President of the Board of Directors of the Comité des entreprises et organismes du Parc industriel de Bécancour.
Member of the Fondation de l’Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières and has always been highly active in his milieu. From 2003 to 2012 he has been Chairman of the Board of the Port of Trois-Rivières President of the Board of directors of Canso Chemicals. LTD. President of Pension committee Olin Canada ULC. President of the Board of directors of the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada (CIAC) since 2017.
Member of the Quebec Bar since 1998, Me Néron specializes in business law as well as in civil and commercial litigation. In addition to her practice, she also works in real estate law, construction law and human rights law. Recognized by her peers, Ms. Néron has been called to lecture on her field of expertise on many occasions.
Actively involved in her community, Me Néron sits on the Board of directors at Keranna, a private high school, “MultiBoulot” and “Noël du Pauvre”. She has also served on the “Fondation régionale pour la santé de Trois-Rivières” and is still part of their governance committee.
Member of the Chambre des notaires du Québec since 1980, Mr. Jean Mongeau holds a License in law and a Notarial law degree from the University of Montreal. Previously, he worked for more than 28 years with the Port of Montreal’s management team as Assistant Secretary, Corporate Secretary and Vice-President, Legal Affairs, and Secretary.
Mr. Mongeau possesses in-depth knowledge of international and Canadian port operations and their applicable laws. He helped draft the Canada Marine Act and commented various proposed amendments to federal laws related to transport.
Certified as an Administrateur de Sociétés (ASC) by Laval University’s Collège des Administrateurs, Mr. Gaétan Boivin holds a Master's degree in Project Management and a Bachelor's degree in Administration with a Major in Maritime Transportation from the Université du Québec à Rimouski (UQAR). He began his career as a merchant marine officer then joined Transport Canada as a marine inspector for vessel safety. He initiated the UQAR bachelor’s degree program in maritime transportation and also taught classes. He was then named Director of the Institut Maritime du Québec before taking the helm of the Port of Trois-Rivières in 2006 with the firm intention of ensuring its strong positioning and development.
With a firm knowledge of the shipping industry, Mr. Boivin introduced the On Course for 2020 strategic plan, which was successfully completed in 2017. He is a member of various associations, including the Association of Canadian Port Authorities and the American Association of Port Authorities, for which he was Chairman of the Board and Chairman of the Canadian Delegation. He is also a member of several maritime industry sectoral tables and committees, whose purpose is to ensure sustainable development.
Mr. Boivin is very involved in regional activities and currently sits on the Board of Directors of the UQTR and the RSTR Foundation. He also chaired the boards of the Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Trois-Rivières and the RSTR Foundation and is currently governor of the Jeune chambre de commerce de Trois-Rivières. He was a board member of the OSTR and honorary chair of several fundraising campaigns for various charities. His involvement, both professional and social, has helped showcase the Mauricie and the maritime industry.
It should be noted that the Port of Trois-Rivières has received numerous awards, including the “Coup de cœur – Fierté régionale” and the “Entreprise de services à l'entreprise” prizes awarded at the Gala Radisson in 2017 and 2009, respectively. Mr. Boivin also received the “Hommage à un bâtisseur” award from the Jeune chambre de commerce de Trois-Rivières in 2016.
