Trois-Rivières, October 1st, 2018 – The Trois-Rivières Port Authority(TRPA) is pleased to announce the appointments of Ms. Véronique Néron and Mr. Pierre Ducharme to its Board of Directors. These new directors were appointed for three-year terms by Her Excellency the Governor General in Council.
As member of the Barreau du Québec since 1998, Me Véronique Néron specializes in business law as well as civil and commercial litigation. In addition to her practice, she also practises in real estate law, construction law and human rights law. Recognized by her peers, Ms. Néron has also given several conferences in her various fields of expertise. Actively involved in her community, Ms. Néron also sits as a director in various organizations in the region.
Mr. Pierre Ducharme holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Université Laval and a master’s degree in Project Management from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. He is a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec and since 1981, has worked primarily in the chemical and explosive products sector for Olin. He is currently Regional Director of Canadian Operations for Olin Canada ULC. Very active in the community and in his field of expertise, he currently chairs the Board of Directors of the Chemical Industry Association of Canada.
