Monday March 20 2017 – Les Défis du parc proudly announce the participation of Patrick Charlebois as honorary president for its edition of the Défi Go Sport, 30km race through running paths, which will be held from August 25th to August 27th 2017.

The president and CEO of Défis du parc, Marie-Josée Gervais, mentioned her thrill about having a former World Marathon Challenge participant accept her offer. Cyclists joining Patrick Charlebois for this race will also contribute to his cause. In fact, for the first 200 participants to register, Les Défis du parc will make a $30 donation to the Fondation régionale pour la santé de Trois-Rivières (RSTR). Trois-Rivières Port Authorities will be giving the same amount for each subscription which means that 60$ for every participation will be given to Mr. Charlebois to help towards his objective of raising $77 777.77 to buy equipment for the Centre hospitalier affilié universitaire régional’s neonatal unit.

Mr. Charlebois mentioned his privilege of teaming up with Défi du Parc for it’s 11th edition explaining he accepted the invitation of promoting this 30km race immediately due to the great reputation of Marie-Josée Gervais and her organisation. He is also very grateful to Mr Boivin and his team at Trois-Rivières Port Authorities for their contribution to the foundation through this activity.

Gaetan Boivin, president and CEO of Trois-Rivières Port Authority also invites the population to join Mr. Charlebois and Mrs. Gervais in this race, reminding them that not only will they have the chance to pick-up a challenge but they will also be serving a good cause. Donations will, indeed, help change lives of families in our area by helping kids have equal chances as they start in life.

Mrs Gervais suggests you reserve your place early so you don’t miss the chance to participate in this event since the advanced registration has seen all 350 available places disappear in less than two hours. Many places are still available for this event and you can reserve online at www.lesdefis.ca
