Trois-Rivières, May 21, 2019 – The Port of Trois-Rivières and Guadeloupe Port Caraïbes are pleased to join forces to support the participation of Trois-Rivières painter Caroline St-Pierre in the Pool Art Fair Guadeloupe 2019 international artists’ exhibition, which will take place from June 14 to 16.
“I see this opportunity as an opening to international art and an opportunity for cultural exchanges between artists who share their vision of contemporary art. This trip is a springboard to my life as an artist and a way to define my painting,” Caroline St-Pierre shared.
It was during the visit of a delegation of nearly 100 participants to the annual congress of the International Association of Cities and Ports (IACP) in 2018, that Ms St-Pierre established contact with the President of the Executive Board of Guadeloupe Port Caraïbes, Mr Yves Salaun. This first contact subsequently led to an official invitation as an honorary artist for the 10th edition of this art show organized by the Association Frère Indépendant, which this year features Canada. The societal integration approach through the promotion of cultural heritage is one of the keys to the cohesion and dynamism initiated by the Port of Trois-Rivières and Guadeloupe Port Caraïbes with their partners.
Mr Gaétan Boivin, President and CEO of the Port of Trois-Rivières will travel to Guadeloupe on this occasion and will participate in the opening of the exhibition which will be held at the Guadeloupe Port Caraïbes cruise terminal.
For this journey, the artist is also supported by Hachem, Groupe Diamond, Voyages Arc- en-Ciel and Roland Bouchard et fils inc.
