Monday, February 19, 2018 – At the 33rd Radisson Gala, organized by the Trois-Rivières Chamber of Commerce and Industry to celebrate the success of entrepreneurs, the Trois-Rivières Port Authority (TRPA) presented Kruger with the Coup de cœur – Regional Pride Tribute Award for its contribution to Trois-Rivières’ reputation and regional vitality.
Kruger has just invested $250 million to manufacture premium 100% recycled cardboard. Through this project, it consolidated 270 jobs at the Trois-Rivières plant and spent approximately $40 million with local suppliers. Gaétan Boivin, President and CEO of APTR, congratulated the company, which has been present in the region for several decades: “Kruger is a long-standing partner. This award recognizes their efforts and investments in the Trois-Rivières community in recent years. »
Other awards given at the gala are also significant for the APTR. In particular, the company Urgence portuaire received the Innovation and Technologies Award. Also, two companies that the APTR is partnering with were honored, namely the Festival International de DansEncore, which was named a Cultural Enterprise, while Le FestiVoix left with the Tourism Industry Award. The TRPA would like to congratulate the winning companies and all the finalists.
